competitionsForSport
Query
Competitions (templates) for a sport, e.g. ATP, NBA, Formula 1. sportCode is case-insensitive
and accepts the F1 alias.
POD-840: returns CompetitionsForSportResult (was a bare list) and accepts the same filter set
footballCompetitions has carried since POD-627 — the event-tier lists were offering no filters
at all while their columns displayed exactly these attributes. Filters are exact-match except
search (name / short-name ILIKE) and all AND together.
Serves two callers with different needs, deliberately: the competitions BROWSE list (paginated,
filtered, wants totalCount) and the contest lists’ Competition filter dropdown (wants the
bounded template set). The dropdown simply passes no filters.
Returns: CompetitionsForSportResult!

country | String | Exact nation code. Same caveat as footballCompetitions.country: rows whose country is NULL are excluded when this is set, and provider-ingested rows mostly have none. Read the values in use from competitionFilterOptionsForSport. |
season | String | Exact season string as stored. The column is unnormalised and its writers disagree, so read the values in use from competitionFilterOptionsForSport rather than assuming a format. |
